Roland is a founding partner of Axianta. As President, Roland is responsible for providing overall strategic direction and corporate management. He leads the firm’s business development, strategic alliance efforts and directs growth initiatives. He is also Principal-in-Charge of the infrastructure and building design groups providing oversight and program management of all transportation, site development, environmental, and building projects.

Background

Roland began his career in 1986 working in the public sector for the Indiana Department of Transportation in the Highways and Road Design Division. From there, he joined a private consulting firm in 1987 and became an owner/partner in 1996. Under his leadership as President (2001-2010), the firm became one of ENR top 500 A/E firms in the United States with several offices around the world.

His professional career encompassed a wide range of technical and managerial positions including, Senior Manager for Airports, Director of Transportation, and Director of Environmental Services. He also led the charge of establishing an Architectural practice and a Project/Construction Management group.

Roland’s experience in multiple disciplines and various countries around the world gives him a unique skill set and tremendous advantage in leading and managing a global organization such as Axianta International.
