American Structurepoint led a team in the design of a new water treatment facility to replace the existing plant that reached the end of its design life structurally and mechanically. The new, 20-MGD, pressure-membrane plant has a hydraulic capacity of 30 MGD. Other aspects of the project include a gravity plate settler for solids removal, equalization basin and pumps upstream of the plate settler, a pump station downstream of the plate settler to recycle the effluent back to the new raw water pump station, and a 4-MGD clean water storage reservoir.
