Lift Station Capital Improvement Plan

American Structurepoint managed this improvement program for 42 public sanitary lift stations. The goal was to collect and evaluate lift station information and then develop a standardized process of converting the existing web-based information into the Utility’s knowledge base application. In addition, information obtained as part of the program was used to prioritize future capital improvement projects related to the operation and maintenance of CBU’s lift stations. Specific components included evaluation of each lift station (structures, equipment, controls, etc.), collection and evaluation of existing maintenance records, determination of effective service areas for each lift station, evaluation of each lift station in relation to IDEM design requirements and emergency operations, and review of and revisions to existing CBU lift station design and construction standards. The program deliverable included a report and base mapping utilizing CBU’s existing GIS.
