Services Provided: Environmental Engineering

This project included providing a study comparing low-impact development (LID) solutions with the standard storm sewer pipe installation. This study focused on multiple LID solutions with their associated costs. The design evaluated rain gardens, bio-retention swales, underground retention, and curb turnouts. The City wanted to actively pursue LID solutions as long as they were cost effective. After the feasible solutions were determined, a public meeting was held to receive feedback from the affected homeowners. This project involves design of a new storm sewer system to eliminate the stormwater flow from the current combined sewer system.
